ShopLocal541 has been established to raise focused funding for Eugene Southtowne Rotary's Food Box Program and Local Emergency Projects. However, we do so much more!

Current Local Southtowne Rotary Projects

Literacy Programs

  • Fairfield Elementary School – Coaching OBOB / Providing books

  • Head Start of Lane County – Reading/activities / providing books

  • Back to School Supplies – for 4j McKinney Vento (serving students without housing)

  • Downtown Languages “Pilas” (helping with English as a Second Language program) bilingual books & celebrations

  • Financial Need Based Scholarships high school & Southtowne Opportunity Scholarships to adults returning to school & providing mentors

Family Support Programs

  • Food Boxes (80 to 90 food boxes delivered to Bethel School District families and Downtown Languages each month)

  • Emergency-unmet needs (gaps in funds for housing, electricity, furnishings, warm clothing) for families with young children

  • Angel Tree – gifts for families in need during the holidays as identified by Head Start of Lane County 

Homeless and At-Risk Youth Support

  • Hosea Drop-In Center – preparing and serving meals.

  • 15th Night – Supporting RAN and delivering supplies to those in need.

  • Eugene Mission Dinner Service – Monthly Serving Team

Senior Citizens

  • Weekly deliveries for Meals on Wheels

International Southtowne Rotary Projects 

  • Peace Committee- Promoting Peace through local and international initiatives

  • Hospital Supply Committee- collecting and distributing donated medical supplies from local health organization, to be used in partner programs Worldwide.

  • Aid Africa – Education and Sanitation Projects

  • Project Amigo – Education support for sponsored schools in Mexico

  • San Miguel School for the Deaf

  • Rwanda English Project – Teaching teachers how to teach English

  • Stove Team- Creating safe, efficient stoves for rural Central Americans

  • Rotary Youth Exchange

  • Support SVRGG global grants with other District 5110 clubs.
